Discover the forest - from your doorstep!

We're always on hand to provide you with help and recommendations of where to go and what to see - below are just a few of our favourites. For more information on this remarkable and characterful area, please visit www.thenewforest.co.uk - packed with great ideas for your stay.

The perfect way to explore the forest and completely carbon neutral too,  there are over 100 miles of forest tracks (as well as roads) taking you far and wide. Visit Cyclex in Brockenhurst for full details - it's a great day out!

If you fancy a gentler more sedate amble, Ford Farm Stables on the edge of the village can always help. Group rides for all abilities (and private hacks) are available from their experienced & friendly guides.

The forest is famous for many things, not least micro-vineyards. Try one of the best at Setley Ridge - where the whole process of wine making can be discovered on a wine tasting tour. There's also a great farm shop too.

Lymington

Located on the southern edge of the forest. Lymington is a beautiful Georgian town, famous for sailing and smugglers! Plus, with a popular market every Saturday, it's perfect to explore.

Beaulieu & Buckler's Hard

One of the national park's most prized landmarks, Beaulieu is home to the National Motor Museum, Buckler's Hard & the only Michelin starred restaurant in the forest. A must visit for any traveller!

On the south-western flanks of the forest, you'll discover Christchurch - a picturesque market town with a 900 yr old priory, castle ruins & boat trips to the sandy beaches at Mudeford Spit.

After a busy day exploring, you'll be reassured to know there are many lovely places to relax and unwind over a pint, glass of wine or G&T along with a delicious meal too. We've selected a few of our local favourites, but with many more to choose from, you'll easily find somewhere suitable for your needs. Plus, just let us know and we'll book a table for you in advance!

Located only a few minutes from our door, The Snakecatcher offers delightful food, warm, friendly service and well-kept beers. All in all, it's a great spot for friends & family to unwind after a long day.

Offering a real taste of Italy in the centre of Brockenhurst, Albero is centrally-located and great value for money. The pizza is second to none, but whatever your fancy, they are only too happy to oblige.

For something that's more than just a little bit special, a visit to The Pig in the Forest is a must - offering a true taste of the forest in a suitably spectacular environment.

Widely regarded as the best Indian & Bangladeshi cuisine for miles around, Dynasty (near the watersplash) offers both a selection of traditional and contemporary dishes to tempt the senses.

Everyone loves a good chippy and the Rainbow Fishbar is certainly that. Now a village institution celebrating 30 years, the fish is top-quality, chips freshly-cut and service unrivalled. Great value too!
